Support Staff Week 2020 - Te Wiki o ngā Kaiāwhina Tautoko
This year we are celebrating Support Staff Week from 8-12 June and the theme is celebrating the wins - whakanuia ngā kaiāwhina tautoko!
This year we want to focus on the wins that support staff members have recently achieved.
Late last year we signed a collective agreement that means all support staff are now paid at least the Living Wage, and now teacher aides are in the process of considering an historic pay equity settlement. That settlement will pave the way for pay equity for other support staff too.
We've put together some posters to celebrate the week, an activity for you to show how you will support your colleagues in their various pay equity claims, some Facebook frames to show your support and a poster on why pay equity is good for schools.
We'd love to see how you celebrate support staff week on social media with the hashtag #SupportStaff2020
