Where we're at - term 3 2022
The pay equity settlement for kaiārahi i te reo was approved on 4 July 2022, with the effective date of 20 August 2021.
Implementation of the new equitable rates is ongoing throughout term 3, with the first payment due to covered employees in October 2022.
Note: covered employees are kaiārahi i te reo in state and state-integrated schools and kura, including those who finished their job on or after 20 August 2021 and started a position at another school, or left the workforce entirely.
