Going to work sick. Getting sick more often as many of the children coming into work have colds coughs snotty noses etc.

What will it take to fix sick leave for kindergarten teachers?

More allocated along with more relievers available. Support for taking time off from colleagues and senior teachers when unwell and should not be expected to go to work. A very hard job to do feeling unwell.

When we fix sick leave, what impact will that change have on you as a teacher, and the tamariki you teach?

It will be better for me. I will feel supported and will have time to get better meaning it will be better for children having 100 percent well teachers, ready for the busy day and giving children everything they need.
