What does the issue of staff to student ratios mean for you as a teacher, and the tamariki you teach?
Ratio’s need urgent attention, the difference between a 2 year old and a 3 year old do not magically change over the night of their birthday. The expectation of having 2 years old with much higher developmental needs is massive when it comes to resources and the environment. We essentially lose a teacher to toileting duties for the whole day.
