What does the reliever shortage mean for you as a teacher, and the tamariki you teach?
I am a relieving teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience. The issue I would like to address is the cap on salary for relieving teachers. I believe we would not have a relieving shortage if we could attract people to relieving through decent remuneration for their relief teaching.
What will it take to fix the reliever shortage?
Removing caps on remuneration.
